Everyone focuses on verses 1-8 of Psalm 83 but I think verses 9-12 are just as interesting and prophetic.
The first part of Verse 9 says 'do to them as you did to Midian.' This might be a reference to Numbers 31 Moses/Israel are ordered to kill ALL the Midianites, even the children. Why? Because they were evil and sacrificing their children to their false Gods etc.
The Houthi's could be the modern day equivalent of Midian. Same basic geographical area. The Houthi's (and Hamas and Hezbollah) all use civilians including CHILDREN as human shields. Is this the equivalent of human sacrifice?
And/or it could also be a reference to Judges 7, 8, 9 where Gideon, along with GOD, defeats…
