Iran warns northern Israel residents to flee as Beirut strikes push region closer to war.

Iran's military has issued warnings of potential retaliation against Israel following air strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon on Monday.

Netanyahu: Israel has ordered Israel's military strikes to target locations in Beirut's Dahiyeh district in response to what he characterized as repeated Hezbollah ceasefire breaches and attacks on Israeli cities and civilians. Prior to the threatened air strikes, the Israeli military issued evacuation orders for residents in certain areas of Beirut.

In return Iran cautioned residents of northern Israel and military settlements in Lebanon territories to evacuate if the threatened strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs proceeded. According to a statement carried by Iran's state broadcaster IRIB, he justified the warning by citing what he termed repeated Israeli violations of ceasefire agreements.
