Moreover, Hamas has publicly asserted that it will not give up its weapons, insisting it has a right to armed resistance against Israeli rule.

US seeking to declare transition to phase II, of its Gaza plan in coming weeks. Trump expected to name members of nations that will staff a security force, however it hinges on Hamas agreeing to give up its weapons, also needed, those responsible for administering postwar Gaza in place of Hamas,

Trump must first deploy this so-called International Security Force along the Yellow Line, which largely stretches from north to south, dividing Gaza in half, with Israel currently in control of the eastern side and Hamas in control of the western side. This ISF (International Security Force) which has not been established yet, will gradually replace the Israel Defense Forces as the Yellow Line is pulled back toward the border with Israel, after which the international mission is supposed to be in charge of security for the entire Strip. This is what is being worked on now.
