White House confirms that US, Iran negotiators have agreed to MoU that awaits Trump’s approval


The White House confirms reporting that US and Iran negotiators have reached an agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding that will extend the ongoing ceasefire by 60 days, during which the sides will hold talks on Tehran’s nuclear program.


However, a statement attributed to US sources responding to querying reporters clarifies that US President Donald Trump still needs to sign off on the MOU.


Axios report

A US official, in an Axios report, confirmed by the White House, is quoted as saying that Trump wants to take a couple of days to think about it before deciding.
