US would stop bombing Yemen’s Houthis after the Iran-backed group had agreed to stop interrupting important shipping lanes in the Middle East.
Houthi attacks on Israel will continue.
A defense official confirmed that the US military had been instructed to halt attacks on the Houthis on Monday evening. After Trump on a mediated ceasefire in an effort to help build momentum as part of Iran nuclear talks, which neither side will target the other, including US vessels in the Red Sea, is all part of the deal.
In regard, Houthi pledges to continue attacks on Israel, Trump responded, I’ll discuss that if something happens.
Lindsey Graham, the Republican US senator from South Carolina, indicated in an X post that Israel would be on its own defending itself from Iran’s proxies. (paraphrased)
Graham: To my friends in Israel, do what you have to do to protect your airspace and your people. It is long past time to consider hitting Iran hard. It wouldn’t take much to put Iran out of the oil business.
Trump is angry.
Before he took office, Trump, in so many words giving the clear message, the go-ahead to eliminate Hamas, one way or another. A strong suggestion as to just get the job done. Israel, for whatever reasons ignored Trump. Again, Trump giving Israel all the ammunition, large bombs and the US backing saying just go ahead and do it. Hamas must go. Again, Israel wanted to do it their way. Trump, like a good father to a wayward son, I’ve done all I can, you're on your own. Lindsey Graham, the Republican US senator from South Carolina is telling Israel is in a roundabout way, do what Trump has said to do from the very beginning, eliminate Hamas, Bomb Iran! It’s being seen that Israel is getting the hint and is possibly reading itself to do just that.
Trump’s America first pledge at work, with complete support for Israel still holding.
