Israel has had enough time to carefully study the surrounding areas of Rafah over the last several months using drones and is very possible that Israel knows where Sinwar is and where some of the hostages might be. Netanyahu confidently stands before his public outlets claiming the war is now underway and this in complete defiance against the Biden administration as they continue to try to uphold a truce or create a cease fire.
